I originally got this saw for trail clearing and have never found anything better. The blade folds in securely and when unfolded snaps securely in place. It can cut a fairly good-sized sapling or branch and the blade has stayed sharp enough to be very effective for years. Once I mislaid it and bought another fancier model, but for all its glamour, it couldn't beat this simple one and I was delighted to find it again. Now that I am retired I have more time to trim around my pasture fences to spruce the place up a bit and have used this little saw often to cut away saplings and cedars that seem to shoot up to a sturdy size at blinding speed. I can trim the fence lines and trails carrying only this and my newly purchased small machete Gerber 22-41061 Brush Thinner Machete with Sheath which cuts everything smaller. I highly recommend this saw. It's compact, effective and lasts forever. Great product.
